Living for the Weekend

Hooray! The weekend is here!

Each Monday I start my week with a fresh outlook, a list of things to do, and determination to really focus on being productive. By 10:30 a.m. on each Monday, my list is usually out the window, my determination has wained, and I am simply scurring to put out the hottest fire. Am I the only one that ever feels like that?

By Thursday I am beat . . . and Friday is just a sweet bridge to the weekend! Here's my "Top 10 List" of Why I Love the Weekend:

10. None of my clients expect me to do anything.

9. I don't have to read caselaw, statutes, or think very hard -- give me a People magazine and a trashy novel!

8. My multi-tasking is minimized (i.e. I'm not returning a phone call while responding to an e-mail and answering an instant message all at the SAME TIME)

7. I get to SLEEP IN -- no alarms are allowed to go off on the weekends at my house!

6. I don't have to wear skirts or pantyhose all day! (I think a man must have invented pantyhose)

5. I don't have to wear makeup!

4. No paper cuts!

3. Fresh air

2. Activity! (as opposed to sitting all day . . . is that why my patoot is getting wider?!?!?)

1. I get to see my family!!!! woo hoo!!

And the events planned for this weekend -- a "Wild Bill's West Show" at our local historical museum/park; an EXCELLENT event with Wild Bill and Annie Oakley and the gang on beautiful horses; indians; etc. I'm just praying for sun! (As many of you know, we are FLOODED with rain in the midwest! And rain is predicted for this weekend . . . ugh!)

So, it is 7:30 p.m. on Friday, and I am finishing up a few things before I take off to begin my rejuvination so I can start on Monday, all over again! Fridays ROCK!
