I can hardly believe it's September! The summer went by so very fast. We ended our summer with lots of fairs and festivals in August, and the beginning of "4 Year Old Preschool" in September. This year, Jacob and Grace will attend preschool 3 days a week (M-W-F), but have also filled their Tuesdays and Thursdays with dance class and gymnastics. (Although Jacob will only attend dance class willingly if it is, officially, "Pirate Dance Class." Yes, we have convinced Jacob that pirates do, indeed, dance in ballet shoes and jazz shoes!)
Well, here is the end of summer in pictures!
A ride at the Winnebago County Fair
I think that they went down this slide 73 times! I was never so
thankful for "wristbands" as I was on this day!
This picture is a classic . . . Jacob, the sensible one, is hanging onto the rollar coaster bar for dear life -- screaming -- while Grace has
her hands in the air and laughs . . . for anyone who has
never met my children, this picture will tell you everything you need to know!
My 43rd Birthday . . . must be in dog years, right? (smile!)
First day of school . . . do any of you have any idea whatsoever howhard it is to get 2 four year olds to stand together, look at the
camera at the same time, smile, not have one eye closed, not have one
finger up a nose or in an ear . . . not slapping the other's head
or looking at a bug . . . this is one of the 38 pictures
we took this day in front of the tree . . .
Picture number 86 from behind the tree also turned out half way decent!
Ahhhh . . . back at school! (Translation -- 2 1/2 hours 3 times a week that dad has time to himself! Woo hoo!)
Roscoe Fall Festival Parade . . . officially starting thewelcoming of the fall season . . .
Jacob checks his "loot" from the parade . . .how many tootsie rolls can one child possibly eat!

Now we move forward toward fall . . . another season . . .
