Going to the Dentist

Today was the day for the 6 month dental appointments for Jacob and Grace. So far, their experiences have been positive, so they were very, very excited to be visiting "Dr. Rob" today!

. . . . although when I went to wake Jacob, I told him "You need to wake up and get ready, because we have to go to the dentist this morning," to which he responded -- in a soft whisper while still buried in his pillow and blankets -- "no way, jose'!" and then smiled!

The excitement at the dentist office consists of:

* Mr. Potato Head and Legos in the waiting room
* A promise of a "balloon animal" for good behavior
* A new "princess" toothbrush (it was Belle from Beauty and the Beast this time) or "power rangers" toothbrush
* A "prize" from the treasure box
* A rubber ball (to add to our collection of 569 rubber balls at home!) from a gumball machine

Both kids fared well, and were given glowing reports. Then, as we were leaving, Grace asked, "Can we come back tomorrow?"

. . . who would've thought!
